Goodman Masson is partnering with a global technology business to recruit a Director of Financial Control. This is a rare opportunity for an ACA-qualified finance leader with substantial group and controllership experience to take on a high-impact role at the heart of a scaling organisation.

You will lead the global Group Reporting function, overseeing finance operations, internal controls, compliance, audit coordination, and tax. The role manages complex multi-currency consolidations and drives reporting excellence across the business. With broad exposure to senior leadership and investors, this position plays a crucial role in shaping financial insight, influencing strategic decisions, and leading transformation across Group Finance.

Base pay range

Director of Financial Control | Tech | £120,000 to £150,000 | Central London – Hybrid

Goodman Masson is partnering with a high-performing, global technology business to recruit a Director of Financial Control. This is a rare opportunity for an ACA-qualified finance leader with substantial group and controllership experience to take on a high-impact role at the heart of a scaling organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multi-currency group consolidation team, ensuring accuracy, insight, and timely reporting
  • Support the implementation of a new group consolidation system
  • Drive finance transformation initiatives across the Group
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global finance team
  • Manage and lead the audit committee, ensuring a clean audit and robust compliance
  • Provide strategic guidance on complex technical accounting matters, including revenue recognition, Purchase price accounting and business acquisitions, intangible asset impairment and other valuations
  • Act as a business partner to FP&A and Commercial Finance teams

Requirements

  • ACA/CA-qualified via Audit at a Top 4 accountancy firm, with post-qualified experience in a complex group function, or an established Audit Director from Big 4.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to influence globally
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and investors
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong project management capabilities and experience driving change
