Director of Group Financial Reporting

The Director of Group Financial Reporting is responsible for the production and presentation of Group level financial reporting, for P&L down to EBIT, both internally, for presentation to Exco and Board, and externally, in all public releases.
In this role, you will have work with a ruthless attention to detail and have tenacity to deliver outputs in the reporting cycle. You'll work closely with Divisional Finance Teams, Investor Relations and CFO to ensure Group Financial Reporting is delivered accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering Group consolidated financials on a monthly basis and for the quarterly planning cycle, and translating them into a meaningful rolling forecast with comparison to internal targets, external guidance and market consensus
- Supporting the Director of Investor Relations on the production of all public market releases, inbound queries and briefings for the CFO/CEO ahead of market announcements, reliant on a deep understanding of trading performance and divisional forecasts
- Establishment of reporting structures throughout all finance and BI systems in line with evolving organisational structure
- Driving an agenda of simplification and consistency across divisional reporting
- Developing a high performing team, able to react to ever changing requirements
- Providing financial inputs to support analysis and reporting across commercial FP&A, strategy, legal and M&A activities
Qualifications
Essential skills and experience:
- Qualified accountant with significant PQE gained in complex global organisations
- Experience of close collaboration with Investor Relations teams
- Extensive experience of reporting, planning and forecasting at Board level and delivery of insight through analysis
- Successful management of continuous improvement programs, whilst driving day-to-day team performance
Desired skills and experience:
- Experience of planning/reporting tool implementation
Competencies and behaviours
- Exceptional attention to detail, alongside the ability to see the big picture
- Exceptional presentation skills, refined from reporting in a plc environment
- Ability and willingness for hands-on involvement
- Ability to build strong and effective working relationships across a global organisation
