Location: Altrincham, Stafford or Powys
Salary: £70k - £80k plus company vehicle and other excellent benefits.
A Civil Engineering company who specialises in the Highways Industry are now looking to recruit a Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality to join their team.
The company are accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & Achilles
Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality – Job Role:
* Fully responsible for health & safety in UK
* EHS Site lead for HQ undertaking both strategic and transactional EHS duties
* Ensure correct EHS & Quality processes are followed
* Improve education level of employees through training & briefings
* Investigate & conclude any incidents or accidents formally
* Maintain & develop ISO framework
* Two thirds of the role are EHS, and one third is Quality
* Visit contractors onsite to ensure their environment is safe including carrying our EHS audits and investigations
* Health and Safety audits of facility and field personnel
* Attendance at local contractor safety meetings with contract personnel
* Focal point for HSSE legislation updates keeping the Snr team updated on any impacts to the business
Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality – Person Requirements:
The ideal candidate must come from the Civil Engineering Industry as a
Director of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality, You will also have the following skills, qualifications or experience:
Ideally hold a NEBOSH Diploma or Equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety
Ideally a Member of IOSH and working towards CMIOSH
Experience of managing ISO 9001 / 14001 / 18001 / Achilles accreditations
The ideal candidate will be able to manage strong characters and get the best out of them.
If you have an Aggregate, Quarry or Highways background then this would be ideal.
