Join a leading semiconductor company as a Director of Internal Events!


Our client is looking for a strategic, creative, and hands-on events leader to shape and deliver a world-class internal events programme. This is a unique opportunity to lead a global portfolio of high-impact events that connect and inspire employees across regions, while driving innovation and operational excellence. To deliver a calendar of global events including:


  • Graduate Conference
  • Global Commercial Conference
  • Engineering Conference
  • Quarterly “Big Picture” events
  • Leadership strategy meetings and cultural celebrations.


Contract Details

  • Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – once per week on-site)
  • Contract Length: 3 months (with potential to extend or become permanent)
  • Daily rate: Inside IR35


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve our client’s global internal events strategy, integrating AI and process innovation.
  • Lead and develop a UK-based team of five event professionals.
  • Manage a $5M+ global events budget with strong governance and vendor oversight.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to shape impactful experiences.
  • Ensure end-to-end excellence in event delivery, from concept to post-event evaluation.


Key Requirements

  • Experience delivering large-scale internal events, ideally in tech or fast-paced industries.
  • Proven leadership of teams and large budgets.
  • Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Hands-on approach—comfortable stepping into delivery when needed.
  • Experience with AI or digital innovation in events is highly desirable.
  • Friendly, open, and collaborative leadership style.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
