Join a leading semiconductor company as a Director of Internal Events!
Our client is looking for a strategic, creative, and hands-on events leader to shape and deliver a world-class internal events programme. This is a unique opportunity to lead a global portfolio of high-impact events that connect and inspire employees across regions, while driving innovation and operational excellence. To deliver a calendar of global events including:
- Graduate Conference
- Global Commercial Conference
- Engineering Conference
- Quarterly “Big Picture” events
- Leadership strategy meetings and cultural celebrations.
Contract Details
- Location: Cambridge (Hybrid – once per week on-site)
- Contract Length: 3 months (with potential to extend or become permanent)
- Daily rate: Inside IR35
Key Responsibilities
- Define and evolve our client’s global internal events strategy, integrating AI and process innovation.
- Lead and develop a UK-based team of five event professionals.
- Manage a $5M+ global events budget with strong governance and vendor oversight.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and internal stakeholders to shape impactful experiences.
- Ensure end-to-end excellence in event delivery, from concept to post-event evaluation.
Key Requirements
- Experience delivering large-scale internal events, ideally in tech or fast-paced industries.
- Proven leadership of teams and large budgets.
- Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Hands-on approach—comfortable stepping into delivery when needed.
- Experience with AI or digital innovation in events is highly desirable.
- Friendly, open, and collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment.
