We are looking for an exemplary leader to offer strategic direction, creative curriculum design and team co-construction to ensure the outcomes for all students are exceptional.****Purpose:*** To raise standards of student attainment and achievement within the curriculum area and to monitor and support student progress.* To be accountable for student progress and development within the subject area.* To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others to create consistency of approach and excellence within the classroom.* To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies.* To be accountable for leading, managing and developing the subject/curriculum area.**The right candidate will have:*** Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent qualification* Relevant specialist qualifications and experience (e.g BSc in History or related degree)* Specialism in History* Ability to deliver high-quality History lessons* A good understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements for History* Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning to ensure all learners progress and achieve to a high standard in preparation for examinationsAt Childwall Sports & Science Academy, you’ll be working alongside a passionate team, and will have the ability to help shape teaching and learning standards and make a real difference.
