We’re working with an innovative Health-Tech scale-up using AI, NLP and Machine Learning at the core of its products to tackle some of the most complex challenges in healthcare. They’re now looking for a Director of Machine Learning to join on an initial 6-month contract leading a talented team of around 20 ML engineers and data scientists. London | Hybrid (2 days/week onsite) Start: ASAP | 6-month contract Outside IR35 - rate depending on experience The Opportunity Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of 20+ ML engineers, data scientists and applied researchers. Drive the ML strategy and roadmap, ensuring models are innovative, scalable and embedded at the core of the product. Partner with Product and Commercial leaders to align technical work with customer value and business outcomes. Push the boundaries of AI, NLP and machine learning applications. Solve complex product challenges, working with API-first and headless architectures. Act as a thought leader, representing ML at exec level and guiding stakeholders on opportunities and trade-offs. About You Experience as a Director/Head of Machine Learning in a product-led tech company. Strong expertise in machine learning, NLP and applied AI. Proven success leading teams of 15–25 people in ML/AI functions. Experience with API-first and headless architectures.
