Altum is partnering with a leading national not for profit organisation to appoint a Director of Strategy & Performance a critical role that will shape the future direction of the organisation and drive lasting impact.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join at a pivotal moment in the organisation's growth.

  • Champion a culture of strategic thinking, accountability, and collaboration.

  • Oversee strategic planning, performance management, and insight generation.

  • Drive the implementation and evolution of the organisational strategy, ensuring delivery against KPIs and OKRs.

  • Lead on national data management, ensuring data quality and governance, and leverage insights to inform decision-making.

  • Consolidate performance reporting across regions and share insight with the board.

  • Build and manage strong relationships with executive leadership, partners, and stakeholders.

  • Ensure the organisation matures into a truly performance-driven charity, able to grow funding to £5-10m and expand its national impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and embed KPIs/OKRs, holding leadership to account.

  • Manage business planning, risk reporting (business and market risk, not clinical), and insight generation.

  • Lead and inspire the strategy, planning, risk, data, and reporting functions.

  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.

  • Act as a trusted partner to the executive, challenging the status quo and enabling evidence-based decision-making.

About You
We are looking for a leader who is:

  • Experienced in strategic planning, performance management, and data-led decision-making.

  • Confident in challenging and influencing senior stakeholders.

  • Passionate, curious, and driven by impact - always asking why is this happening?

  • Skilled in OKRs/KPIs, change management, and business planning.

  • Experienced in managing and motivating cross-functional teams.

  • Comfortable navigating regulated, complex environments.

  • (Not-for-profit experience is desirable, but not essential.)
