Directorbank are searching for a Quality Director on behalf of our client in the Devon area.

This UK-based manufacturer specialises in producing precision-engineered products made from stainless steel and high-value alloys used in demanding applications across the aerospace, medical, oil and gas and nuclear energy industries.

Role

The Quality Director will be responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies, including overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance, continuous improvement/ LEAN methodologies, maintaining a strong trajectory of zero external defects and on-time delivery and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. The Quality Director will be leading a talented team of quality and technical professionals.

Person

We are looking for a strong Quality professional with a track record in managing a Quality function in a manufacturing/ engineering business. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and knowledge in engineering, with significant experience in driving process improvements and a strong quality culture backed by robust KPIs. This is also, interestingly a customer centric role, supporting the Global Commercial Director in NPI and customer intimacy. A driven and energetic leader, the ideal candidate will be able to communicate across all levels confidently and cross pollinate quality into all facets of the business. As the role forms a key part of the business’ talent pipeline and succession planning, the ideal candidate will demonstrate sound awareness of how the quality function contributes to the overall growth agenda and be an active part in driving business growth.
