What you will do as Director of Sales & Marketing

• Lead, inspire, and manage a diverse and high-performing Sales and Marketing team.
• Monitor and analyse local, national, and international market trends, as well as competitor activity, to ensure the hotel’s commercial strategy remains competitive and innovative.
• Guide the team in developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve targets across corporate, group, and event segments.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review pipeline activity, assess lead quality, and ensure effective follow-up and conversion.
• Oversee team performance to ensure production goals are met and all enquiries are handled professionally and promptly.
• Drive proactive sales initiatives to generate new business and increase enquiry levels.
• Leverage market intelligence and collaborate with third-party partners to identify growth opportunities across key hotel market segments.
• Support the team in delivering impactful site visits, client meetings, presentations, familiarisation trips, and networking events.
• Stay informed on industry trends and competitor strategies to identify new leads and contribute to the hotel’s overall sales direction.
• Collaborate with Hyatt colleagues globally to maximise cross-property sales opportunities and brand alignment.
• Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier sales and marketing talent, fostering a culture of excellence and development.

About you

You are a results-driven senior Sales and Marketing professional with extensive experience leading commercial strategies, ideally within the hospitality or hotel sector.

With a proven track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market share, you combine strategic vision with operational excellence. Your leadership inspires teams, strengthens client relationships, and fosters a high-performance culture. You’re commercially astute, digitally savvy, and use analytics to inform and optimise campaigns. Agile and passionate about hospitality, you thrive in fast-paced environments and turn vision into action.
