Director of Data Solutions

Location: UK (London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh – flexible/remote with travel)
Salary: £125k–£150k + 20% bonus
Certification: SnowPro preferred

La Fosse have partnered with a consultancy to appoint a Director of Data Solutions. This role will lead and scale the data solutions practice across the UK and Europe, shaping innovative client solutions and developing internal technical capability. You’ll be the go-to authority for modern data platforms, building trusted relationships with technical and client stakeholders, setting strategy for practice growth, and advising enterprise clients. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of technical leadership, commercial growth, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Practice Leadership

  • Lead and evolve the data solutions proposition, shaping market-leading solutions.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with vendors and internal teams.
  • Act as trusted internal and external expert for data strategy and delivery.
  • Grow internal capability through mentoring, certifications, and knowledge sharing.

    • Client Engagement & Solution Design

  • Advise senior client stakeholders (CPO/CTO/CDO).
  • Translate business problems into innovative cloud/data solutions.
  • Present business cases to support client decisions.
  • Ensure solution delivery meets expected outcomes.

    • Commercial Growth & Pre-Sales

  • Identify and lead opportunities across clients.
  • Partner with client teams in pre-sales and solution shaping.
  • Influence client decisions and drive £2m+ revenue contribution.

    • Skills & Experience

  • Deep expertise in modern data platforms; SnowPro preferred.
  • Consulting background with experience shaping solutions and leading pre-sales.
  • Well-connected within cloud/data communities; vendor relationships preferred.
  • Strategic thinker connecting platform capability to business outcomes.
