Role Overview

As Director of Strategic Growth and Commercial Excellence, you will lead the design and execution of transformative commercial strategies that unlock growth across the UK and EMEA. You will serve as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director and executive leadership, driving alignment and excellence across sales, marketing, finance, and operations.

This senior hybrid role requires a strong presence and influence across the enterprise. You will be expected to be on-site in our London office at least four days per week to engage with stakeholders, lead your team, and drive performance culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Strategic Growth Leadership – Define and execute growth strategies that align with global objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Identify new market opportunities, product innovations, and business model transformations that drive revenue and market share.
  • Lead long‑range planning, including market expansion, portfolio development, and regional prioritisation.
  • Act as a catalyst for innovation and out‑of‑the‑box thinking to challenge norms and capture untapped value.
  • Commercial Performance & Excellence – Own the design and execution of commercial excellence initiatives across pricing, channel strategy, customer segmentation, and go‑to‑market models.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to improve yield, optimise sales productivity, and elevate customer lifetime value.
  • Lead direct channel acceleration efforts to increase share.
  • Build and manage commercial dashboards, KPIs, and performance tracking frameworks to drive accountability and transparency.
  • Strategic Analytics & Decision Support – Conduct deep‑dive financial modelling, scenario planning, and competitive intelligence to inform senior decision‑making.
  • Translate data into actionable strategic insights that shape investments, resourcing, and market prioritisation.
  • Present robust, executive‑level business cases with clarity and conviction.
  • Cross‑Functional Influence & Execution – Drive cross‑functional collaboration by aligning key stakeholders on priorities, actions, and outcomes.
  • Serve as the strategic connective tissue across global and regional teams, bridging commercial strategy with execution.
  • Influence senior leaders across departments to adopt and champion strategic initiatives—without formal authority.
  • Leadership & Capability Development – Lead and grow a high‑performing team of strategists, analysts, and project leaders.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and agility in a fast‑paced, premium brand environment.
  • Serve as a strategic mentor and thought partner to colleagues across functions and levels.

Knowledge and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in strategic, commercial, or consulting roles within multinational or matrixed organisations.
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and strategic transformation at a senior level.
  • Deep understanding of pricing, channel strategy, customer lifecycle optimisation, and market expansion.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and financial acumen with expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualisation tools.
  • Exceptional communicator and executive influencer, with the ability to engage C‑suite stakeholders and drive decisions.
  • Experience operating across diverse markets in the UK and EMEA; luxury, hospitality, or travel industry background preferred.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.
