We are working with a leading international engineering and design consultancy that is seeking a Director of Sustainability to establish, shape, and grow a brand-new sustainability division. This role will see you at the forefront of driving sustainable strategies across major building and infrastructure projects spanning the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Establish, shape, and grow a brand-new sustainability division within the consulting practice.
• Drive sustainable strategies across major building and infrastructure projects spanning the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
• Leverage an existing and well-established client base, embed a strong sustainability offering across the business, and bring in new clients and projects.
• Build and develop your own team within the first year, laying the foundation for long-term growth and creating a market-leading capability.
• Demonstrate strong work-winning experience, client relationship skills, and the ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels.
• Own the development of a sustainable pipeline, manage and grow the team, and ensure commercial performance.
• Progress toward Regional Director level with full P&L responsibility, enabling leadership of the division with autonomy and vision.
• Contribute to shaping a sustainability offering that influences high-profile industry projects.

Qualifications / Expectations

• Proven track record in work-winning and developing client relationships in sustainability or related fields.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and delivery levels within complex projects.
• Experience building and leading teams, with a focus on growth and capability development.
• Commercial acumen with focus on pipeline development and performance management.
• Ambition to progress toward Regional Director level with P&L responsibility.
