OverviewDIRECTOR OF TRANSPORT PLANNING Birmingham to £75 – 80k plus excellent benefits. Superb opportunity to join a fast moving prolific consultancy who lead the industry in design, planning and project management across the built environment. They are seeking an experienced Transport Planning professional with strong industry knowledge to expand their offering by leading, shaping and directing a wide portfolio of transport planning consultancy project work across multiple sectors.You will have an established professional reputation with an extensive network of contacts. You will be able to take a broad commercial perspective, have a strong track record in winning new work and support a sustainable, healthy and diverse growth agenda.ResponsibilitiesLead, shape and direct a wide portfolio of transport planning consultancy project work across multiple sectors within the business.Take responsibility for projects from inception through to successful completion, and coordinate project teams and project management as required.Coordinate and prepare hearing statements and proofs of evidence, and deliver evidence planning at hearings and inquiries.Write complex reports, interpret data and make clear, relevant recommendations.Provide direct client care, manage implications of actions and handle difficult/complex issues.Lead on the management and development of key client contacts.Maintain an understanding of financial and marketing implications of decisions, and be aware of political and economic conditions, business opportunities and competitor activity.Demonstrate ideally 10-15 or more years of experience in transport planning, with strong industry ties, professional networks, and the ability to lead several projects concurrently with effective leadership.Qualifications/ExperienceThorough knowledge of the UK Transport Planning System and relevant legislation, with a strong portfolio illustrating such knowledge and technical capability in development planning (a must).Extensive experience coordinating and implementing strategies from development plan site promotions to management of applications for major development projects.BenefitsGenerous company healthcare package for the whole family and a significant pension contribution.Highly rewarding remuneration including a very generous bonus and extended leave.Excellent career prospects and platform to work from with regional office support. #J-18808-Ljbffr
