Overview

A leading global investment bank is seeking a high-performing individual to join its Leveraged Finance team in London. This is a discreet search for a Director to Executive Director level, focused on origination and execution of sponsor-backed and corporate leveraged transactions across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the execution of leveraged buyouts, acquisition financings, and recapitalisations.
• Work closely with private equity sponsors, corporates, and internal product teams to structure and syndicate debt solutions.
• Prepare and present credit papers, marketing materials, and financial models.
• Drive deal processes from origination through to closing, including documentation and syndication strategy.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and contribute to business development efforts.

Candidate profile

• Over 10 years of experience in leveraged finance, debt advisory, or related capital markets roles.
• Strong technical skills in credit analysis, financial modelling, and transaction structuring.
• Proven track record of deal execution, ideally with exposure to both loans and high-yield bonds.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages a plus.

Location and compensation

Location: London

Compensation: Competitive base and bonus, commensurate with experience.
