OverviewDirector, Process and Controls, Risk Consulting (UKI) – EYEY’s Risk Consulting Practice helps leading organisations navigate complex risk landscapes, delivering integrated, technology-enabled solutions across risk management, internal audit and internal controls and controls transformation. We work with senior client personnel to deliver high-quality outcomes that drive meaningful results, supported by EY’s global scale, inclusive culture and technology. This senior leadership role is suited to a driven, passionate individual with an established network and prior success in opportunity generation and sales.ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development: Leverage established networks across key sectors to identify, pursue and convert opportunities, contribute to proposals, generate thought leadership and drive additional sales.Engagement Delivery: Lead and own the delivery of Risk Consulting engagements (e.g., risk management, internal audit, UK Corporate Reform, SOX 404, controls transformation), ensuring projects are effective and exceed client expectations while identifying sell-on work.Agility: Balance sales activity with engagement management and self-start where appropriate.Trusted Advisor: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding on regulatory impacts (UK Corporate Reform, US SOX, Global Internal Audit Standards, and other industry-specific requirements) and how these affect internal controls and reporting obligations.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.Process & Controls Leadership: Lead across process and controls solutions, develop and nurture talent, engage in internal initiatives and foster a positive team culture.Solution Development: Develop new and existing risk and controls offerings, including governance, policies and control strategies.Quality and Risk Management: Demonstrate a track record of compliance with quality and risk management principles.Business Acumen: Apply understanding of financial, operational, compliance and strategic contexts.Learning and Development: Foster continuous learning and professional development for yourself and the team.Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with risk, IT, compliance, finance and security to drive integrated risk management solutions.Team Mentorship: Mentor and develop risk professionals and contribute to a positive team environment.Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes.Performance Excellence: Monitor engagement metrics and proactively address deviations to deliver high-quality outcomes.Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including executive audiences.Values: Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusiveness.QualificationsExtensive experience generating and leading risk, process and controls services at large and complex organisations.Relevant professional certification (ACCA, ACA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent).Experience delivering risk, process and controls solutions such as risk management, internal audit, controls transformation, SOX 404.Understanding and enabling regulatory compliance requirements (UK Corporate Reform, SOX, and other industry-specific regulatory requirements).What we look forWe are seeking entrepreneurial, market-oriented individuals with drive, commitment to solutions, and ability to work under pressure.
