Overview

Mastercard’s Digital Enablement Services (MDES) team seeks a Product Director to lead the implementation of product strategies, requirements intake and prioritization, roadmaps, and delivery of product enhancements and value-added services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large-scale B2B digital products/solutions in financial services, payments, mobile or related sectors, with a customer-centric mindset and a record of delivering new services in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities.

Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Develop and execute product strategies, roadmaps, annual objectives and plans
  • Lead cross-functional teams
  • Gather and assess voice of customer, industry trends, market and competitive research data
  • Define product requirements based on strategic priorities, customer feedback, market insights
  • Conduct market research and opportunity assessments on new ideas and concepts
  • Lead ideas generation, concepts validation, business cases development, and present new ideas for executive approval
  • Oversee the demand intake and prioritization process for product enhancements
  • Manage product roadmaps and backlog items
  • Perform analysis of products/technology vs customer needs and business requirements
  • Scope, plan, and execute large development efforts as well as small rapid feature enhancements
  • Lead product development projects through the end-to-end lifecycle
  • Define and manage business and technical requirements, UX requirements, design specifications and non-functional requirements for development/enhancement/modernization
  • Manage existing products, including internal solutions/platforms and customer-facing applications and services
  • Partner with stakeholders across the organization to develop and deliver product initiatives
  • Engage with engineering and global technology teams to maintain and build platforms
  • Communicate roadmaps and value propositions to regional teams, customers, and third parties
  • Develop product marketing materials, training materials, videos, case studies, etc., in collaboration with marketing teams and vendors
  • Monitor, track and report product performance metrics and KPIs
  • Manage user access and change control processes
  • Develop product collateral and support materials for internal and external use
  • Deliver product training for internal support teams and external customers
  • Present at customer and internal forums
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, processes, and governance
  • Provide leadership and knowledge transfer to team members

Role requirements

  • Strong product management experience in B2B digital products/solutions in financial services, payments, mobile or related sectors
  • High-energy and proactive with ability to manage workload, multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Initiative and self-motivation with a willingness to learn and deliver results
  • Strategic business mindset and ability to translate technical offerings into business value
  • Ability to understand complex business needs, competitive offerings, and industry trends
  • Hands-on with complex technology solutions
  • Willingness to learn and grasp technical details
  • Strong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Ability to build rapport, lead cross-functional collaboration, and manage stakeholders and external partners
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams and vendors
  • Experience in ideas generation, concept validation, business case development, and presenting to executives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of professional experience
  • Proficiency with product management and reporting tools (e.g., Confluence, Jira, AHA, Domo, Figma or similar)

  • Experience in Financial Services, Payments, Digital Commerce/e-Commerce, Cloud, Big Data, Data Science/Analytics; Microservices a plus
