Summary Of Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Strategic Technologies, International, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Alnylam's Commercial, Medical, and Regulatory systems in EMEA (including CRM and Data Management systems) support our business objectives. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across all lines of business and countries, as well as external partners, to deliver on our business systems roadmap. Your responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and implementing business requirements, and providing operational support.
This role is considered Hybrid.
Summary Of Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Strategic Technologies, International, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Alnylam's Commercial, Medical, and Regulatory systems in EMEA (including CRM and Data Management systems) support our business objectives. You will collaborate with key stakeholders across all lines of business and countries, as well as external partners, to deliver on our business systems roadmap. Your responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and implementing business requirements, and providing operational support.
This role is based in Maidenhead, U.K. and reports to the Sr. Director, Strategic Technologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key business representatives.
- Develop expertise in EMEA business objectives.
- Advise on and manage data processes in Commercial Systems for GDPR/Data privacy regulations.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and third-party applications to enhance system functionality.
- Ensure regional governance aligns with global objectives.
- Provide system training to business and technical colleagues and collaborate with the Training & Learning Development team to develop training materials and programs.
- Support and guide the Application Support teams (e.g., Veeva CRM support), and optimize the allocation of responsibilities across internal and external teams.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and address functional gaps in system setups.
- Collaborate with global IT teams and external providers to leverage their resources and expertise.
- Use root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills to resolve functional and technical issues.
- Proven Business Analysis skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective prioritization and project management skills.
- Significant experience in CRM, Sales Intelligence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Business Analysis, or Business Analytics in regulated industries, such as Healthcare.
- Experience working with multiple countries in a European/EMEA environment.
- Knowledge of a range of commercial business systems and tools.
- Strong team player with the ability to maintain effective relationships at all levels.
- Ability to anticipate, understand, and address changing business and departmental needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Leadership and/or supervisory experience.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other European languages (French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese) is a plus.
