We’re seeking a future team member for the role ofDirector, Technology Control Managementto join our Wealth Services Engineering team. This role is located inManchester, UK – HYBRID
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Leads the BNY Wealth Services Engineering, Technology Risk & Control team in the EMEA region
- Ensures that technology risks and controls are identified, assessed, managed and reported to senior management, risk committees and legal entity Boards
- Maintains effective oversight of technology and cybersecurity controls for the BNY Pershing legal entity in the UK (regulated responsibility - FCA Certified Person)
- Manages control issues and defects ensuring good ownership and effective management, and ensuring that risk mitigation and remediation actions are in place
- Supports the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and High-Level Assessment (HLA) processes for legal entities in EMEA
- Responsible for the implementation of Engineering Control Framework practices
- Uses in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity controls to facilitate cybersecurity risk assessments of applications, infrastructure and projects
- Supports the Head of Engineering EMEA in related risk programs: Audit response, Regulatory inquiry and response, Client due diligence
- Monitors KRI for Engineering processes along with emerging threats to determine Product/Platform impact
- Drives proactive risk culture within the organization
- Manages complex risk remediation projects that involve working with the businesses to improve controls to mitigate any deficiencies
- Leads ISO 27001 Certification Program in EMEA Region, and supports SOC1/2 audits
- Oversees Identity and Access Management service to clients in EMEA and APAC
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Extensive related work experience including team management - mixed experience in technology/information risk, assurance or advisory strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills in order to explain complex technical issues to senior management, auditors and regulators
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
- CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC or similar certifications preferred
- Experience leading, defining, implementing, and monitoring IT risk management programs, including cyber security related risks
- Experience understanding design and operating effectiveness of IT controls and industry related frameworks including ISO27001 and SOC1/2
