Overview

We're looking for an experienced

Downstream Energy Broker

to join our Energy team in London. The ideal candidate will have

10-15 years of experience

in the downstream energy insurance market and a

strong technical understanding

of complex risks. You'll manage key client relationships, structure placements, and deliver tailored insurance solutions across refining, petrochemical, and power sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow relationships with downstream energy clients.

Structure and place complex risks into the Lloyd's and company markets.

Negotiate terms and coverage with underwriters.

Review and draft slips, wordings, and endorsements.

Provide technical input on property damage, business interruption, and liability exposures.

Support junior brokers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.

Skills & Experience

10-15 years of experience in downstream energy broking or underwriting.

Strong technical knowledge of refining, petrochemical, and power generation risks.

Established relationships with clients and underwriters in the London market.

Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

Attention to detail and strong analytical ability.

ACII or equivalent qualification preferred.
