Overview
Bourne Education Trust is growing rapidly, and we're excited to expand our successful team. We are seeking an Education Director to join our team at Bourne Education Trust. The Education Director will lead a cluster of primary, secondary and special schools. All Education Directors take on Trust-wide projects, which could include areas such as social justice, assessment, safeguarding and SEND. The Education Director will work closely with the central team to lead the delivery of exceptional education across the Trust. The successful candidate must have a proven track record of leadership and impact within the education sector, a deep understanding of effective school improvement processes and a dedicated commitment to growing school leaders.
BET is a successful multi-academy trust made up of twenty-four schools (plus eight further associate schools), across primary, secondary and specialist school phases. Position: Education Director
Location: Jubilee High School, Addlestone KT15 1TE (travel to other Trust sites may be required)
Contract: Permanent, full time

Key responsibilities
- Work with the Deputy CEO to deliver the strategic education vision of the Trust.
- Build a collaborative learning culture across the Trust.
- Work with school leaders to ensure that schools’ strategic intents complement that of the Trust.
- Plan, implement and monitor a cross-Trust theme and translate outcomes into action and impact and/or inform policy.
Requirements
EDs will need to have a certain level of experience prior to taking on the role and a background in education and teaching. Specific qualifications required are:
- Awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children.
- Undergraduate degree and QTS.
- Experience marketing and promoting a school or group of schools.
- Experience running a project or theme across a group of schools.
