Projects range from nationally significant infrastructure to local river restoration.The role can be full-time or hybrid, based in our offices in Bristol/Bradford on Avon, Redhill, Birmingham, or remotely.This position is mainly technical, with opportunities for team and line management or mentoring if interested.We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of environmental best practices and innovation, including digital EIA. Our professionals work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver smarter, sustainable solutions, such as nature-based solutions via blue-green infrastructure for the water industry.Binnies holds the IEMA EIA Quality Mark, reflecting our high standards in EIA delivery.About the RoleThe responsibilities include:Coordinating all stages of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), including SEA, WFD, HRA, and planning consents.Reviewing and approving environmental deliverables to ensure technical quality.Providing line management and mentoring to the Environmental Team.Supporting tenders and recruitment efforts.Qualifications/RequirementsApplicants should be environmental professionals with full membership (IEMA, IES, CIWEM) and possess:An environmental-related degreeChartered status with a relevant instituteThorough understanding of EIA, sustainability, and consenting processesExcellent written and oral communication skillsPeople skills and management/supervisory experience (preferred)Understanding of consultancy commercial drivers and ability to manage projects within time and budgetA full UK driving licensePrevious consultancy experienceExperience in construction stage delivery is advantageous but not essential. Project or commercial management experience is not required, as dedicated project managers handle those areas. We welcome applicants at Principal level and above; salary is flexible based on experience.
