They are seeking an experienced EIA Technical Director to work on challenging projects with a growing team of scientists and engineers in Cardiff.BenefitsCompetitive salaryPerformance-related discretionary bonusesCompany Pension SchemeVery generous annual leave entitlementPossibility to buy or sell annual leave daysFlexible working opportunitiesClear career progression routesFinancial support in attaining professional membership, such as Chartered StatusMedical and healthcare plans availableCycle-to-Work SchemeResponsibilitiesManage a range of water-related projects, from initial inception through to successful deliveryProduce, review, and amend key hydrological, water resource, and peat management Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) chapters for renewable energy, infrastructure, and transportation projectsLiaise with and manage stakeholders, both internal and external to the company, to produce EIAOversee the preparation and submission of planning applications for a number of projectsActively contribute to business development activitiesRequired skills and experienceA good Initial Degree (with an Upper Second Class Honours or higher) in a numerate or environmental disciplineExtensive experience in producing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for a number of different water environments (e.g. rivers, wetlands, etc.)Demonstrable experience of coordinating Environmental AssessmentsExcellent working knowledge of EIA regulationsHighly proficient understanding of the UK Planning SystemHigh-level understanding of flood management and drainage strategies/systemsConfident and competent in the use of GIS software packagesExperience of leading/managing projects and/or a team of staffExcellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skillsOutstanding numeracy skillsPossess a full, valid UK driving licence and your own vehicleWilling to travel across the UK to undertake a variety of projectsPossess professional membership of a relevant professional body (or actively working toward this)DesirableHold a Master’s (or higher) Degree in a relevant environmental or numerate disciplineExcellent time management skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
