Overview
We are seeking a Director in EMEA Tax to join our Global corporate Tax team. The role manages a portfolio of companies and processes within the UK and across the EMEA region, contributing to tax return filings, tax payments, tax forecasting, tax bookings and internal and external tax reporting. The Finance division acts as a partner to business units by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This role ensures compliance with income and indirect tax filings, reports tax information for regulatory filings, manages global tax authority relationships (including tax controversy), and monitors relevant tax regulations and legislation. It also involves managing domestic and international tax strategies, transfer pricing policies, and advising Senior Management and business units on products, strategic transactions and restructuring objectives.
What You’ll Do In The Role
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, applying in‑depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
- Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
- Act as a culture carrier; embody and uphold the Firm’s values and standards
- Work collaboratively across the wider tax, finance and other teams to deliver on projects and manage risk
- Manage, develop and coach staff
- Drive innovation and process efficiency improvements
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment, and technical skills with awareness of industry context
- Ability to operate independently with respect to most responsibilities
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and innovate processes
- Proficient UK Corporation Tax compliance knowledge and experience
- Understanding of tax reporting and forecasting processes
- Relevant professional accountancy or tax qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CA or ATT/CTA)
- Strong organisational skills
- Aptitude for working in a dynamic environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated with high standards for quality, controls and accuracy
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience of tax compliance in other EMEA jurisdictions
- Experience of US GAAP reporting
- Experience in people management
- At least 4 years’ relevant experience
