Job Description

Meraki Talent are partnering with an established Professional Services firm, looking for a Employee Relations Partner in a brand new role. This business is forward thinking, collaborative, with multiple offices across the UK, looking for this person to be based in their Edinburgh office on a hybrid working pattern.


This is a key position in the HR team, reporting directly to the HR Director, working in collaboration with the SLT.


Employee Relations duties:


  • Building and leading ER strategies that promote a positive and respectful working environment
  • Writing, reports, policies and papers based on legislation changes
  • Working with SLT to create strategic changes
  • Supporting and advising managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issues
  • Handling complex grievances, conflict resolution, and performance matters
  • Conducting fair, thorough investigations, always with integrity and professionalism
  • Coaching and training line managers to handle people matters confidently
  • Working with senior leaders to spot trends and proactively improve the employee experience
  • Keeping up to date with employment law and making sure we stay compliant
  • Contributing to broader HR projects and initiatives across the business


Person specification:


  • Strong ER experience, with excellent knowledge in employment legislation
  • Ability to write policies and papers based on legislation changes
  • Great communication and mediation skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex situations with empathy and professionalism
  • A practical understanding of HR systems and reporting tools
  • A team player who’s proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • A genuine interest in creating a fair, inclusive and supportive workplace
