A prestigious international law firm is seeking a highly skilled and commercially astute Senior Associate or Legal Director to join its market-leading Structured and Project Finance team. This is a rare opportunity to work on some of the most high-profile and complex energy and infrastructure finance transactions in the UK and internationally.

The Role

You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team advising on the full lifecycle of project finance transactions. The work spans development, financing, refinancing, and M&A across renewable energy, infrastructure, and low-carbon sectors. Clients include major banks, infrastructure funds, energy developers, and DFIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support on high-value project finance transactions across the UK and emerging markets.
  • Advise on structuring, negotiation, and documentation of complex financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with cross-border teams on international mandates.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development.

    • Recent Highlights

  • £235m financing of a major UK battery energy storage project – the largest of its kind in Europe.
  • Portfolio financing of multiple onshore wind and anaerobic digestion projects.
  • Advisory roles on infrastructure acquisitions, port developments, and green finance initiatives across Africa and Europe.

    • Candidate Profile

  • 7+ years PQE with a strong background in project or structured finance.
  • Experience gained at a leading commercial law firm with a focus on energy or infrastructure.
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
  • A team player with a proactive and commercial approach.
