We value fresh thinking, collaboration and diversity, building an inclusive working environment open to all. & SummaryAs an Enterprise Architect in our Technology Consulting practice, you will shape complex digital transformation programmes multiple industries (e.g. Public Sector, Financial Services, Healthcare, Manufacturing). You will design scalable, secure, and resilient architectures spanning applications, cloud, data, and integrations, while ensuring alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements.You will combine enterprise-level design with hands-on technical delivery oversight, bridging the gap between business strategy and technology execution.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead enterprise architecture design for large-scale transformation programmes. This should include cost/benefit analysis, risk appetite, regulatory horizon, architecture, and how IT capabilities underpin business outcomes.Develop target operating models, digital roadmaps, and technology blueprints.Design and oversee implementation of enterprise strategy covering applications, cloud, integration, and data.Collaborate with CIOs, CTOs, and senior stakeholders to align solutions with business goals.Ensure compliance with regulatory and security requirements (e.g., DORA, GDPR, NIS2).Provide technical delivery oversight, including vendor and platform selection.Contribute to proposals and thought leadership in digital transformation and enterprise/solution architecture.Skills And ExperienceEducation and CertificationsA third level honours degree, with a strong academic record.Skills And CompetenciesUnderstanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, governance, and capability models.Develop long-term business/IT alignment strategies (3–5+ year horizons).Maintain the enterprise roadmap, principles, and standards.Advise CxO/Board on investment priorities, operating model impacts, and regulatory compliance at an enterprise level.Proven track record in EA governance, architecture boards, and portfolio planning.4 –10 years’ experience in enterprise architecture with a strong knowledge of cloud applications, data, and integration design.Experience designing architectures for regulated industries.Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills including working at board levelHands-on experience with enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, SAP).PreferredIASA, TOGAF or equivalent architecture certification.Experience with digital government platforms, payments systems, or financial services infrastructures.Familiarity with agile delivery environments and DevOps practices.Life at Grant ThorntonEquity, diversity and inclusionAt Grant Thornton, we provide equitable opportunities for all our colleagues.
