Overview

In this busy and demanding role, the post holder will provide excellent, highly efficient and effective secretarial support to the 2* Director of Communications.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the Director’s busy diary, prioritising competing requests and pressures and remaining aware of short term and long-term priorities.
  • Making sure practical arrangements are in place for all meetings, including booking in visitors, confirming suitable meeting rooms and ensuring the right IT is available.
  • Organising travel and accommodation for the Director’s visits.
  • Receiving and responding to invitations.
  • Preparing the Director’s day pack.
  • Work with civilian and military colleagues of all ranks including Ministerial Private Offices and X-government, acting with a high level of discretion and confidentiality at all times.
