About the Role:
An 8-month paternity cover opportunity as a communications strategist. A unique opportunity to work with one of the world’s most exciting brands and help develop communications frameworks, thinking and genuinely affect the creative output; from traditional advertising to owned content, creator as a media channel, partnerships and everything in between, across all hardware business lines.
We work in a fast-paced environment connecting with the industry’s best marketing and advertising professionals all around the world, based in a diverse and vibrant office in central London. Reporting to the Head of Comms Strategy at OMD, the successful candidate will be one of a small but strong team of 4 strategists, also working closely with the media planning, marketing sciences team, media specialists, account management, brand strategists and creative teams (MAL), both in London, LA and across predominantly EU markets.
You’ll be expected to be in the London office a minimum 3 days a week.
About You:
Seeking a thought-leader with genuine love for the industry to work in a strategic communication and connections planning role. With media-advertising industry experience and experience working in a strategic role who can flex their style to meet the needs of different projects.
Looking for proven innovative and creative thinking, problem solving and an analytical mindset, passion for media and advertising, collaborative and flexible working style, someone who enjoys going the extra mile and can work at pace.
Confident in front of media and creative teams with an ability to craft beautiful presentations succinctly and with style and attention to detail.
High level of proficiency in comms, digital strategy and leveraging content across platforms, and partners in new and effective ways. Experienced audience-first thinking and ability to bring insights to bear to create differentiated solutions.
Experience of setting objectives, KPIs and measurement metrics, and passion for understanding how it all works. Evolving the measurement framework will be a priority for the period of the contract.
You’ll also work with the Head of the Comms to support and train the junior members of the communications strategy team, to empower them to do the best work of their careers.
Strategy expertise has evolved and we are constantly delivering market-leading work originated and produced in the London office. We work as a true extension of the clients, and right at the heart of the marketing process.
You will expected to deliver thought-leadership content e.g. PoV on measurement and how it can evolve and support a team of unique comms planners with varying skill sets and abilities to do the best work of their careers.

Flexible Working

Our standard working hours are 9:30 – 17:30, but we offer the ability to flex around core hours of 10:30 – 16:30 to give our people flexibility on how they manage their working day, whether that’s in the office or working remotely. For example, you could start work at 8:30 and finish at 16:30 or start at 10:30 and finish at 18:30.
