Executive Director of Corporate Resources - Salary: £140k
As Executive Director of Corporate Resources be part of our journey in continuing to make a real difference to Hull's residents, businesses and communities. This position holds the key responsibilities for professionally leading and delivering a portfolio of services and providing strategic oversight of the directorate, which includes: finance and transformation, ICT, revenue and benefits, audit and fraud, organisation development & HR, and legal services (including democratic services and procurement).
As the leader of the services which are vital to the effective running of the council, both internal and outward facing, the position requires an individual with a very strong commitment to engagement, partnership and team work, and also with the skills to manage a diverse portfolio of services where extremely high standards are expected. If successful, you will be responsible for ensuring that the council meets all its statutory requirements in terms of its financial governances. You will also hold responsibility for the legal compliance of the council.
Strong leadership skills are essential, to ensure our organisation operates in a way that responds to our priorities, and our communities' needs and expectations, whilst operating within statutory frameworks. Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a portfolio of services within the directorate and provide strategic oversight.
- Manage functions including finance and transformation, ICT, revenue and benefits, audit and fraud, organisation development & HR, and legal services (including democratic services and procurement).
- Ensure the council meets all statutory requirements in terms of financial governance and legal compliance.
- Contribute to the council's Senior Leadership Team and drive community and place-making agendas.
- Engage with partners and communities to deliver high standards of service and achieve outcomes for Hull.
