The organisation is now seeking an Executive Director of Income Generation, a newly created senior role that will shape their future income strategy and help deliver transformative impact through music therapy. Prospectus is proud to be supporting this important appointment.

Executive Director of Income Generation — Full time • Permanent • Hybrid - North London Office (min. 2 days per week office based) • £92,500 plus £1,500 London weighting

Role purpose

The Executive Director of Income Generation will play a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for driving sustainable income growth and maximising the charity's profile and reach. With an annual target of £7.2m by 2026 and £9.1m by 2028, the postholder will drive growth in philanthropic giving, legacy fundraising, major donor development, and high-value partnerships, while embedding robust systems, processes, and stewardship approaches. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in enabling the organisation to deliver its bold new strategy and ensure long-term financial resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and shape the organisation's income generation strategy to drive sustainable income growth and maximise reach.
  • Achieve annual income targets (£7.2m by 2026; £9.1m by 2028) through philanthropic giving, legacy fundraising, major donor development, and high-value partnerships.
  • Embed robust systems, processes, and stewardship approaches to ensure financial resilience and donor engagement.
  • Manage and develop large, complex, multi-disciplinary income generation teams at Senior Leadership level.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to build high-value relationships across a diverse stakeholder base.
  • Balance long-term strategic vision with short-term delivery and drive innovation in income generation.

Qualifications and experience

  • Substantial experience leading large, complex income generation teams at Senior Leadership level.
  • Proven track record of income growth and diversification across multiple income streams.
  • Strong donor engagement expertise and ability to cultivate high-value relationships.
  • Strategic leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence, and act as a compelling ambassador for the organisation.
