Better placed are delighted to partner on an exclusive basis with a fast growth SaaS scale up looking to appoint a number one in finance. Recently completing a successful Series B funding round, ARR now tracking at £15m+, the business is scaling rapidly across the UK and into international markets. With a product rooted in AI‑driven workflow automation for enterprise clients, they are positioning themselves as one of the North’s next big tech success stories.

Base Pay Range

£110k–£130k + bonus + equity potential

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a key business partner to the CEO, contributing to strategic planning and decision‑making.
• Own all financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting and MI across the group.
• Provide clear commercial insight to support product, pricing and growth strategy.
• Lead and develop a small but capable finance team (with plans to scale).
• Work closely with investors, preparing board packs, KPIs and performance updates.
• Oversee financial controls, risk management and compliance as the business scales.
• Support international growth, entity setup and cross‑border tax planning where relevant.
• Play a lead role in future funding rounds, M&A activity and due diligence.
• Identify and implement system improvements to support scale (e.g., automation, ERP).

About You

• Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
• Experience in a SaaS / tech / recurring revenue business (essential).
• A background in scaling finance functions, ideally in a PE, VC or founder‑led setting.
• Confidence working at board level and influencing non‑finance stakeholders.
• Strong technical and commercial blend, comfortable in the numbers, but forward‑thinking.
