Axon Moore are supporting a unique, owner managed SME in Halifax in the appointment of their Finance Director.The business is a prominent local business to the Halifax area, and the Finance Director role will be broad and all encompassing, supporting the MD in the operational running of the business as well as overseeing all of the day to day financial activities.This is a stand-out role in the local area, and the requirement will be for someone to be present and visible in the business on a full time basis.The key duties of this role will include: Lead the finance function, overseeing all financial and accounting operations Responsible for the statutory reporting at year end and liaison with audits Manage banking facilities and relationships with 3rd party institutions such as banks and insurers Take on responsibility for other back office functions Work with the owners on the future strategic direction of the business Input into board reports, producing high level analysis of risks and opportunities The ideal candidate for this role would possess the following skills and experience: Qualified Accountant with experience in a privately owned or owner managed business, preferably sub £50m turnover Must be able to work proactively and be willing to carry out detailed accounting and analysis work, as well as lead and advise the team If you feel you have the relevant pre...
