My client is a profitable and fast expanding B2C Professional Services SME based in Stoke-on-Trent.

A high calibre and immediately available Finance Director is urgently sought to be able to start on an initial Interim basis to support the current active due diligence process to attract significant inward investment required to facilitate this ambitious SME's exciting growth strategy (both organic and acquisition "buy and build"), with the clear intention to become a permanent career role post-Deal successful completion.

My client operates a modern hybrid work culture with c 2-3 days/week expected in the Stoke-on-Trent HO.

Reporting directly to the MD within a high calibre experienced Board, the brief will include:

• Support the MD as his "finance business partner" to run the current DD process with a range of interested potential Investors, including preparing Investor presentations and responding to detailed enquiries relating to financial/business performance and future growth projections.
\n\t
• Hands-on management and development of a robust Finance team and wider operational infrastructure of the business to ensure timely and accurate financial control and reporting.
\n\t
• Develop MI/KPI's to support key decision-making processes.
\n\t
• Develop bottom-up annual budgeting and regular forecasting exercises.
\n\t
• Stakeholder management - key point of contact with Auditors, Bank, Investors, Advisors.
\n\t
• M&A - proactively appraise and execute Acquisition targets plus successful post-integration to meet the targeted "buy and build" growth strategy.   
\n\t
• Overall, on successful conversion to perm FD to operate as a key member of the Board to drive profitable and sustainable business growth.

Candidate profile:

\n\t
• Strong immediately available qualified accountant with proven Head of Finance/FD level experience in a similar fast-moving growth SME environment.
\n\t
• Although this is a hybrid role, you must be located within commutable range of the Stoke-on-Trent HO.
\n\t
• Additional M&A experience would also be an advantage.

• My client offers a competitive initial Interim professional day rate with a starting salary of c £120k plus comprehensive Benefits package on successful conversion to the perm FD role.

• Significantly, Share Options will also be offered after a qualifying period to ensure the FD is fully incentivised to reward their key contribution.
