Monkey Park is a Community Enterprise (CIC) based in Brampton, Chesterfield. Our community hub includes a community cafe, bicycle workshop, and co-working/meeting space.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee financial strategy, budgeting, and reporting to support the organisation’s mission.
  • Manage accounting activities and financial controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Attend monthly board meetings and contribute to additional tasks as required to support the organisation.

What will you be doing?

We are a not-for-profit business with the purpose of improving the local community by bringing people together. We employ and pay people for jobs at Monkey Park and strive to enhance the local economy. Any profit is used to continue improving and growing the enterprise for community needs. We are seeking a Finance Director to join our Board of Directors. The board currently comprises five dedicated volunteers from the local area, each bringing diverse skills and perspectives to guide our efforts.

As Finance Director, you will oversee our financial strategy, budgeting, and long-term financial sustainability. The Board of Directors meets once a month on a weekday evening. This role is voluntary and offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a dynamic community-focused organisation.
