Financial Leadership RoleThis position requires an experienced and skilled finance professional to lead the financial management of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing key financial data, supporting the development and maintenance of financial systems, and providing advisory services to the Council and service managers.About the RoleThe Financial Business Partner will work closely with the Finance Team and staff to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement agreed measures. This role is critical in ensuring the effective separation of duties, comprehensive revenue and capital accounting support for allocated services.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, preferably within the public sector or local government. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the Finance Team at meetings and provide advice to senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesManage team resources to meet service requirements, ensuring coverage during peak periods.Ensure effective separation of duties, comprehensive revenue and capital accounting support for allocated services.Represent Finance at meetings, provide advice, modelling and reports for Cabinet and Senior Management Board.RequirementsCCAB qualified accountant or part qualified CCAB accountant actively studying towards full qualification.Detailed knowledge and experience in a similar role, preferably within public sector or local government.Experience of staff management and demonstrable record of completed projects in time-pressured environment.What We OfferWe offer an attractive remuneration package including annual leave, professional fees, and a pension scheme.
