Our client, a well-established, forward-thinking international business, is seeking a commercially astute and experienced Finance Director to join their leadership team. This office-based role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the Managing Director and Board of Directors, playing a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategic direction and long-term success.

As Finance Director, you ll oversee all financial and administrative aspects of the business and act as a key advisor to the leadership team. The organisation is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to excellence, and clear focus on sustainable growth and innovation.

What will the Finance Director role involve?

• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely monthly and annual reporting
• Build commercial strategy with the Board and MD, for international business.
• Act as financial guide for commercial arrangements and negotiations
• Lead Foreign exchange requirements and plan effectively
• Partner with the Managing Director to develop and execute long-term strategic plans
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, investment appraisal and decision support
• Manage cash flow, working capital and tax compliance
• Ensure robust internal controls, policies, and legal/regulatory compliance
• Provide oversight of IT systems and support the IT Manager in digital efficiency initiatives
• Lead HR administration including payroll and staff policy oversight
• Act as Company Secretary for board and shareholder governance
• Review and manage legal and contractual matters, including risk and insurance
• Build strong external relationships with auditors, tax advisors, lawyers, pension trustees, and banks
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across finance and operational areas

Suitable Candidate for the Finance Director vacancy:

• Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
• Experience in international business and multi-currency finance.
• Proven leadership experience in a senior finance position
• Strong strategic thinker with demonstrable commercial acumen and business partnering skills
• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels
• Capable of leading under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
• Confident in influencing decision-makers and contributing to business performance
