What are we looking for?
Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, preferably within the charity, non-profit, or social enterprise sectors.
Skills & Knowledge
- Strong financial planning, analysis, and reporting skills.
- In-depth knowledge of charity accounting standards and regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and ensure compliance with financial controls.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the confidence to advise senior leadership.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience desirable.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for a Finance Director who will be able to commit to approx 2 hours per week with a passion to support Grae Matta Foundation in making a change within Mental Health. Within this role you will be responsible for the financial health and sustainability of the organisation, overseeing financial planning, reporting, and management, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and supporting the strategic vision of the Foundation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare regular financial reports for the President and Board of Trustees.
- Ensure compliance with charity financial regulations and governance requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective financial policies, systems, and controls.
- Support fundraising initiatives by providing financial oversight and advice.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Advise on long-term financial planning and risk management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure sound financial stewardship across the Foundation.
