Finance Director (Confidential) — Step-Up Opportunity, Up To £90,000

Reports to: CEO | Contract: Full-time, office-based

What you’ll lead

  • Set finance & accounting strategy; act as CEO/Board adviser and business partner.
  • Full ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance (statutory, audit, tax).
  • Robust budgeting/forecasting, FP&A, KPIs and decision support across the business.
  • Working capital, cashflow and revenue management (pricing/margin, profitability).
  • Continuous improvement of processes, controls and ERP/CRM usage.
  • Team leadership: objectives, development and high-standards culture.
  • Corporate finance activity as required (capex cases, debt, disposals/acquisitions).
  • Build strong external relationships (banks, advisors, auditors).

About you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); strong post-qualification experience.
  • Product-environment background (e.g., retail, distribution, manufacturing).
  • Proven people leader; hands-on, commercially sharp, calm under pace.
  • Excellent FP&A, cash and controls; confident with ERP/CRM and Excel.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and driving change with integrity.
