The Role

This is a newly created role where you will be instrumental in managing the day-to-day financial operations across the group. In a fast-paced and evolving environment, the Finance Director will lead financial reporting, statutory compliance, and consolidation processes, while driving improvements in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. You will also support the wider senior leadership team with commercial analysis and financial insight to guide strategic decision-making and assess the financial viability of future investment and acquisition opportunities. This is a highly visible and impactful role suited to a finance leader looking to influence the long-term success of a private equity-backed business.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations across the group.
• Lead financial reporting, statutory compliance, and consolidation processes.
• Drive improvements in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Provide commercial analysis and financial insight to guide strategic decision-making.
• Assess the financial viability of future investment and acquisition opportunities.
• Support the wider senior leadership team with financial leadership in a private equity-backed environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) with strong technical grounding.
• Proven track record in fast-moving and complex environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to engage with senior stakeholders and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Expertise in financial reporting, systems, and controls; commercial acumen; analytical mindset; proactive, solutions-focused approach.
