Interim Finance Director (Part-Time – 3 Days/Week)

Location: Manchester City Centre Salary: Circa £85,000 FTE Contract: 6-Month Fixed Term Availability: Immediate Start Required

A fast-growing tech business in Manchester city centre is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Director to lead its finance function through a period of strategic change. This is a 6-month fixed term contract, working 3 days per week, ideal for a commercially minded finance leader.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:

  • Lead the UK finance team and oversee a small number of remote international staff
  • Take ownership of financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and 5-year strategic planning
  • Collaborate closely with external advisors including banks, HMRC, and investors
  • Drive change management initiatives to support business transformation
  • Provide oversight of treasury management, with experience in hedging considered advantageous

About You

You will bring:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director in a UK-based business, ideally within the tech or high-growth sector
  • Strong background in change management and stakeholder engagement
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with external advisors
  • Experience in treasury management and hedging (preferred but not essential)
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Immediate availability and commitment to a 3-day per week schedule
