Finance Director Permanent - Law Firm Location: Cambridge When required: From September 2025 Business description:- We are a long established leading full service law firm based in central Cambridge. Seeking to appoint a Financial Director on a part time/full time basis, minimum three days a week basis to replace retiring FD. Role description: Primary responsibilities: Experienced, qualified accountant and/or FC / FD Overseeing staff pension scheme Ensuring records at Companies House are up to date and effect any changes required Reviewing and liaising with insurers in respect of building, key person insurance and any other such policies Report to the Partners as appropriate Overall responsibility for finance functions of the Firm Management of accounts team (currently admin assistant and finance manager) Maintain well developed system of accurate monthly management accounts Manage key commercial contracts within the finance function remit eg leasing agreements Manage relationships with banks, auditors, accountants and other parties Management of working capital Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations - including compliance with SRA rules, PAYE, P35, P11D and VAT reporting and submission
