Finally, the College is seeking an outstanding Finance Director to play a central role in shaping the future of one of the UK’s leading independent schools. Reporting to and partnering with the newly appointed Bursar (COO), the postholder will provide the financial vision and leadership to secure the College’s long‑term success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and vision for the College.
  • Partner with the Bursar (COO) to secure long‑term financial success.
  • Drive robust finance, effective investment and innovative solutions enabling ambition to thrive.
  • Lead high‑performing finance teams and delivery of management and statutory reporting.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to plan and manage investment appraisal, capital and re‑investment.

Qualifications

  • A qualified accountant with senior finance experience in a complex, independent school environment.
  • Proven expertise in strategic planning, investment appraisal, statutory and management reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership of high‑performing finance teams.
  • Commercially astute, digitally confident, collaborative style with the ability to inspire trust and communicate with clarity.
  • Experience in a board‑level governance environment is an advantage.
