Step-Up Opportunity, Up To £90,000 Reports to: CEO | Contract: Full-time, office-based Why now Our client is a growing, product-led business in transition investing in systems, sharpening commercial performance and preparing for the next stage of scale. Its an exciting moment to join the exec team and shape the roadmap. The brief As Finance Director youll own the full finance agenda; strategy, control and performance, while advising the CEO/Board and leading a capable team (Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and Finance Admin). This role is ideal for a high-potential leader stepping up to their first FD seat or a Head of/No.2 ready for a bigger FD remit . What youll lead Set finance & accounting strategy; act as CEO/Board adviser and business partner. Full ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance (statutory, audit, tax). Robust budgeting/forecasting, FP&A, KPIs and decision support across the business. Working capital, cashflow and revenue management (pricing/margin, profitability). Continuous improvement of processes, controls and ERP/CRM usage. Team leadership: objectives, development and high-standards culture. Corporate finance activity as required (capex cases, debt, disposals/acquisitions). Build strong external relationships (banks, advisors, auditors). About you Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); strong post-qualification experience. Product-environment background (e.g., retail, distribution, manufacturing ). Proven people leader; hands-on, commercially sharp, calm under pace. Excellent FP&A, cash and controls; confident with ERP/CRM and Excel. Comfortable challenging assumptions and driving change with integrity.
