Overview

Finance Director needed in Greater Manchester. Location: Greater Manchester. Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (flexibility required when necessary). Salary: Basic up to £60,000 per annum. Our client, a specialist vehicle service and repair group, is seeking an experienced Finance Director to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and overseeing the finance function within a growing business. Immediate employment is available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage a small finance team, including bookkeepers, credit control, and payroll
• Lead on profit and loss management, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Provide financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decisions
• Work closely with senior management to drive financial performance and business growth
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and company policies
• Implement and monitor effective financial controls and systems
• Offer strategic advice to the board and stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Finance Director (or similar senior finance role)
• Strong background in profit and loss management
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Must have strong knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software
• Experience within the Automotive sector is highly desirable
• Previous progression from Management Accountant to FD level desirable
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work flexibly and meet business needs
