MacGregor Black is proud to be working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in the search for a Finance Director. This is a unique opportunity to take the helm of financial strategy at a cutting-edge, large-scale production facility, during an exciting period of growth and innovation.

The Role

As Finance Director, you’ll shape and deliver the financial vision of the business, working hand-in-hand with the senior leadership team to drive performance and long-term success. This position blends strategic influence with hands-on delivery, offering the chance to make a real impact across the organisation.

Key Accountabilities

• Set and deliver a forward-looking financial strategy aligned with business goals.
• Lead, coach, and inspire a talented finance team, ensuring high performance and continuous development.
• Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to guide operational and strategic decisions.
• Promote financial awareness across the organisation to ensure commercial alignment.
• Oversee the preparation of robust financial reports, budgets, and forecasts while maintaining compliance.
• Drive efficiencies, identify risks, and seize opportunities to strengthen financial performance.
• Enhance financial controls and systems to support scalability and transparency.
• Manage treasury operations including cash flow, liquidity, and funding strategies.
• Support investment decisions across CAPEX, product innovation, and site expansion.

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Experienced Finance Director, CFO, or senior finance leader within FMCG manufacturing.
• Proven track record in financial planning, reporting, analysis, and treasury management.
• Strong people leader with a history of developing high-performing teams.
• Commercially astute, with the confidence to influence and challenge at board level.
• Experienced in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar) and advanced financial modelling.
