Overview

The Financial Director will be part of a growing organisation and will contribute to the attainment of the company's business objectives by: providing strategic and financial guidance to ensure that the company's financial commitments are met. Developing all necessary policies and procedures to ensure sound financial management and control of the company's business. This role suits a good generalist who is both technically and strategically strong.

Responsibilities

• Directing financial planning and strategy.
• Analysing and reporting on financial performance.
• Overseeing audit and tax functions.
• Developing and implementing accounting policies.
• Preparing forecasts and comprehensive budgets.
• Training accounting staff.
• Assessing, managing, and minimizing risk.
• Managing internal controls.

Qualifications

• A Director of Finance must have at least 10 years’ experience in finance, accounting, and related fields.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, economics, finance, accounting and registration with the Instature of Charted Accountants
• Industry recognised certifications
• Experience in Client Relationship Management
• Strong analytical skills, good strategic thinking, excellent communication skills, exceptional numerical proficiency, and strong leadership skills
• An understanding of urgent shipment/airfreight and cross border services
• Experience in the Courier or Logistics Environment will be beneficial
• The ability to harmonise financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards financial stability and promote revenue growth
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
