RESPONSIBLE TO: Events & Lettings Manager
Hours of Work & Salary
Preparation: 14 days from 14 October 2025 to 30 May 2026. This includes campus visits.
Delivery: 24 days from 31 May to 26 June 2026
Preparation: £227/day for 14 days (£3,178), billed monthly
Delivery: £227/day for 24 days (£5,448), billed upon completion
Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and student focused individual to lead and enhance the Senior Immersion Programme at Giggleswick School. As course Director you will be responsible for delivering the programme. Overseeing academic tuition and assessments, pastoral care and ensuring seamless collaboration with internal teams and external partners. You\'ll play a pivotal role in shaping a transformative experience for international students, while championing the values and standards of the school
Main duties and responsibilities
- Parent & Stakeholder Communication
Be the leader and main point of contact for parents and guardians in respect of the immersion programme. - Conduct interviews with pupils to determine English language and Maths proficiency levels so that students can be placed in suitable teaching groups.
- Provide regular updates and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive experience for families and stakeholders.
- Operational Coordination
Work with internal teams to tailor timetables, organise airport transfers and welcome students - Maintain regular communication with the Events Manager and ensure smooth logistical execution.
- Programme Delivery & Student Support
Develop and deliver week one of the immersion programme orientating and inducting pupils to life at Giggleswick School, leading all necessary academic lessons and providing pastoral support. - Provide necessary support to ensure students are fully integrated into school life.
- Support co-curricular activities including an outward-bound camping trip to build resilience and teamwork.
- Reporting & Documentation
Write school reports for each pupil, tracking development and achievements. - Ensure timely and accurate updates to parents and guardians throughout the programme.
- Emergency Management
Act as the responsible adult for unaccompanied minors during travel and emergencies. - Respond swiftly and professionally to any medical, safeguarding, or logistical emergencies, ensuring student safety and wellbeing at all times
