You could join our Global Supply Planning team to develop and implement our global supply strategy, work with our Procurement Centre of Excellence to negotiate and manage supplier relationships, support Manufacturing Excellence to improve efficiency, quality and safety, or contribute to Logistics Excellence to distribute our products to customers.

About the role

The Global CAPEX and Portfolio Lead is responsible for overseeing end to end Reckitt’s capital expenditure, ensuring adherence to processes and continuous improvement of execution, portfolio prioritization, group spending phasing and control. The role ensures governance is executed across geographies and all levels of the organisation from project idea through scoping, execution and post-investment review.

Responsibilities

  • CAPEX Project Management: Create and deploy a global project management standard framework and processes to ensure capital investment projects deliver the intended business objective. Continuously improve the project management standard by capturing lessons learned and feeding them back to the process to improve delivery and simplification for CAPEX execution. Establish and maintain a knowledge database for sharing experiences.
  • Provide governance, management and oversight on investment process: Build processes to assure projects pass through stage gates and meet all requirements before approving budget. Create and consolidate reporting for regular project status updates, highlighting status, achievements, challenges and opportunities. Provide support to the wider engineering team in monitoring project performance and advising corrective actions as appropriate.
  • Global CAPEX portfolio: Set processes for managing the global CAPEX portfolio, seek governance synergies, benchmark projects to deliver better predictability and efficiency. Drive prioritization of projects based on criteria and thresholds for the group CAPEX.
  • CAPEX budget / forecast process: Establish an annual/forecast CAPEX global budget process for all areas, regions and sites. Review and analyse to identify opportunities and spot early issues for CAPEX budget. Work with finance to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting including deviation from plan, and provide recovery or mitigation actions where possible.
  • Global Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, operations, finance and executive teams across regions to ensure seamless project execution and knowledge sharing. This requires strong cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
  • CAPEX Process digitalization: Identify and implement digital tools to enhance portfolio management and CAPEX project management for more effective reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Essential – Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field.
  • Essential – Progressive experience in Engineering & Project Management within the CPG industry.
  • Essential – Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Desirable – Experience in Project Portfolio Management.
  • Desirable – International experience in major projects.
  • Desirable – Experience in CAPEX-related management in a CPG company.
