OverviewGlobal Quality Director to lead worldwide quality strategy and execution for the OEM business division across 11 global manufacturing sites in Europe, India, and the United States. Lead compliance with automotive industry standards, improve product and process quality, and ensure customer satisfaction. Role involves implementing quality management systems, leading continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a high-performing global quality team.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management Systems Leadership: Implement, maintain, and ensure certification of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements across all global sites; standardise quality processes and documentation; manage internal and external audits with timely closure of non-conformities.Customer Quality Management: Serve as global point of contact for major OEM customers on all quality matters; manage customer complaints, audits, and corrective actions; oversee APQP processes including FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP submissions.Continuous Improvement & Six Sigma Leadership: Promote Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to improve product quality and reduce waste; foster a culture of operational excellence and zero-defect mindset; analyze current quality across sites to identify optimization opportunities.Global Team Leadership & Development: Lead regional Quality Managers across 11 sites; mentor and develop quality team members; align activities to ensure consistent global quality standards.Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Define and track KPIs (e.g., PPM, scrap rates, field claims, customer satisfaction); analyse trends and drive improvement actions; report quality metrics to senior management.Strategic Quality Planning: Define investments in testing, metrology, and quality systems; develop a long-term quality roadmap aligned with business objectives; ensure regulatory and environmental compliance across operations.QualificationsEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent; minimum 10 years in quality leadership within the automotive industry; proven track record managing quality across multiple international sites.Technical Expertise: Expert knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001; automotive core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D); strong Six Sigma background; experience with quality management software and ERP systems.Language & Mobility: Native Czech speaker with fluent English; willing to travel up to 30% internationally; valid passport and ability to obtain necessary work visas.Preferred Qualifications: Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent; knowledge of hydraulic systems; experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 automotive suppliers; additional European language skills; advanced degree in Engineering or Quality Management.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: €60,000 per annum (gross)Performance Bonus: Up to 10% of annual salary4 weeks (20 working days) annual leave plus public holidaysComprehensive health insurance and social security coverageHybrid working arrangements: 1 day per week remote working possibleEqual Opportunity & ComplianceBoth Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
