New Today

Overview

Our client is seeking an exceptional and experienced Global Sales Director to join the executive team of a world-leading technology company. This pivotal leadership role is a "player-coach" position that can both strategically scale international sales teams and personally target and close high-value deals.

Our client specialises in advanced software used by prestigious sports organizations, events, venues, and governments globally. With headquarters in London and offices across the USA, Australia, Brazil, and the Middle East, the company is global and currently entering its next phase of expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a data-driven global sales strategy to achieve ambitious revenue goals and accelerate market share growth, including defining sales budgets, providing accurate forecasting, and refining sales processes to increase win rates.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage the existing sales teams in the UK, USA, and Australia, fostering a culture of success and professional development; oversee recruitment and training as the team expands.
  • Personally lead the identification and closing of flagship deals with major event organizers, sporting bodies, and governments; nurture C-level relationships and manage the full enterprise sales cycle; act as a senior commercial ambassador at key industry events.

Who we're looking for

  • Proven commercial leader with a minimum of 10 years of experience in B2B software/SaaS sales, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role; track record of exceeding multi-million-pound revenue targets as both an individual contributor and a leader.
  • Experience managing and scaling geographically dispersed sales teams, with a focus on the EMEA and US markets.
  • Expert in complex enterprise sales with a history of personally closing deals of six figures or more.
  • Strategic and data-driven thinker who can translate market insights into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Desirable: experience selling into the sports, major events, or venue management sectors.
  • Must be based within a commutable distance of London, working from the client’s South London office a minimum of 2-3 days per week when not traveling.

What we offer

This role offers a competitive salary and a lucrative, performance-based commission/bonus structure. You will join a senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of a rapidly growing company.
